Prince’s Trust gives sensory room new look
March 24, 2017
For five days students from the Prince’s Trust Team Program in Eastbourne have been fixing up and rejuvenating the Sensory room at our premises in Pevensey Road. The team worked hard prior to beginning the project so that they could raise funds to buy important things like paint, lights, cushions and many other crucial sensory objects and decorations. The Team organised a carwash, a cake sale, busking in Eastbourne town centre and also bag packing at Marks and Spencer’s Eastbourne site. Students worked very hard and on Tuesday 21st Feb 2017 the new sensory room was unveiled to the patrons and staff of Eastbourne Mencap, to much delight. A huge thank you to the Prince’s Trust team and to all those who helped and made donations to this project, especially Marks and Spencer’s Eastbourne, Jocelyn’s Café, and Oh My Goodness health food and vegan store.
